who's
behind giggle-room? Lieve Saether is the founder of giggle-room. Although born in the US, she has spent the majority of her life in Europe, where she studied Art History at the French-speaking university of Brussels, Belgium. Always interested in the arts and the aesthetics of design, her creative outlet was initially channeled into a decorative painting business. Meanwhile, her corporate career in marketing bridged her creative interests with the business world, and took her to the United Kingdom, California, and Virginia. While she has always made spaces her own, it was her first house that saw the real benefit of her decorative vision. Friends started asking for decorating advice, and after a couple of initial projects, Lieve decided to start her own residential decorating business, leaving the corporate world. A few years and a move later, Lieve is now living in Austin, Texas with her husband and two children. She re-launched her business, this time specializing in children’s décor. This is how giggle-room was born. Giggle-room also serves as the monthly interior style contributor to the newly launched Austin Pregnancy Magazine.
